Iran's Parliament begins 5th meeting to review JCPOA

TEHRAN, Sep. 07 (MNA) – Parliament special committee to review the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) started its 5th meeting here on Monday.

Former head of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team Saeed Jalili and his team, former Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoon Abbasi as well as the current members of the nuclear negotiation team are present in the committee’s today meeting.

During the meeting, members of the special committee will continue to review the process of nuclear negotiations during the tenure of the previous government and to study the evaluation of former negotiating team.

The committee is scheduled to visit Arak heavy water facilities on Wednesday.

Senior negotiators and Foreign Ministry deputies Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi have participated in the 4th meeting of the special committee on Sunday and answered the parliamentarians' questions.

Also, the SNSC Secretary Ali Shamkhani and chairman of the National Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi are to participate in the committee’s Tuesday session.
